How It Works
What is the right laiout option for me?
laiout offers several options tailored to different needs and scales. With laiout Lite, you can upload a PDF floor plan, work on it within the platform, and export as a PDF. With laiout Pro, you have full control over the design process: upload in any supported format (DXF, DWG or PDF), access advanced editing tools, and export to CAD, Revit, IFC or PDF. For organisations that prefer a managed approach, laiout Service handles the floor plan cleaning and setup, so you can focus on generating and refining layouts. Contact the laiout team at [email protected] to discuss which option suits your requirements.
What is the typical workflow in laiout?
The standard workflow follows five steps: (1) Upload your floor plan in DXF, DWG or PDF format. (2) Draw corridors and set your space preferences, including room types, desk counts and density targets. (3) Click Generate to produce multiple AI-optimised layout options in seconds. (4) Edit and refine zones, furniture and room assignments. (5) Export your final plans as PDF, DXF, Revit, IFC or OBJ, or share via interactive live links.Note: There are two workflows - (1) Pro/Lite mode where you clean the file yourself, or (2) Serviced mode where you upload and wait for laiout to clean it for you - you'll receive an email when it's ready.

How fast can laiout generate a floor plan?
laiout generates multiple fully furnished, regulation-aware layout options in approximately 3 to 5 seconds. What traditionally requires days or weeks of manual CAD work, briefing cycles and consultant coordination can be completed in minutes. A full 3D model is also generated in around 4 seconds.
