# Generating AI Renders

<details>

<summary>How do I access AI Renders?</summary>

From any generated layout, switch to the 3D viewer and click the AI Renders button. This opens the render panel where you can select a style preset, enter a custom prompt, upload a reference image, or upload an exterior view photo. Click generate and the render is produced within seconds to minutes depending on complexity. If you need additional support, contact us.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I create AI Renders without entering the 3D view?</summary>

Yes. You can now generate AI Renders directly from your 2D floor plan, without switching into the 3D or first-person view first. Click the AI Render button to add a camera, preview the 3D scene it will capture, and render from there. This gives you a faster path to a render while staying in the 2D workspace.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I add a camera on the 2D floor plan?</summary>

While viewing your 2D floor plan, click the AI Render button to add a camera, then position it where you want the shot taken from. The camera sets the viewpoint for your render, in the same way positioning the view does in 3D. This is available where you have the AI Renders add-on.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I preview the render before generating it?</summary>

Yes. Once you place a camera on the 2D plan, you can see a preview of the 3D scene from that camera position before you render. This lets you check the framing and adjust the camera before spending a render.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Where do I activate Aerial Render mode?</summary>

Enter the 3D model view and navigate to the position you want to render from. Then press the AI Render button in your toolbar, set your preset to lock in your style, and press generate to create an Aerial Render from that view.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do I set the camera angle, height, or position for an Aerial Render?</summary>

In the 3D model view you can freely move to any camera angle, height, or position that suits your requirements. Once you have the view you want, generate your AI render directly from that position.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I save a preferred camera position for reuse?</summary>

Saving preferred camera positions is a future capability we are exploring. For now, navigate to the view you want each time before generating the render.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Does rendering from 2D replace the 3D render workflow?</summary>

No. Rendering from 2D is an additional, faster route, not a replacement. You can still enter the 3D view to position the camera and render from there whenever you prefer. Both paths produce the same AI Renders.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Does Aerial Render replace the default AI Render, or is it an additional option?</summary>

Aerial Render is an additional option. You have full control to render from anywhere above your floor plan, or drop into the plan and render from within the design itself, so both aerial and interior perspectives remain available.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Does Aerial Render work with Lock Style and Select &#x26; Edit?</summary>

Yes. Aerial Renders are fully compatible with Lock Style and Select & Edit, exactly like the default render view. See [Styles and Prompts](/visualising-your-space/styles-and-prompts.md) and [Refining Renders](/visualising-your-space/refining-renders.md) for more.

</details>

<details>

<summary>How do exterior view uploads work?</summary>

Upload a photo taken from the window of the building, and AI Renders integrates it into the visualisation. The generated image shows the interior layout with the actual view from that specific floor visible through the windows. This creates a realistic sense of place that generic renders cannot match, and is particularly effective for leasing presentations and stakeholder alignment where location is a selling point.

</details>

<details>

<summary>Can I add my company branding to renders?</summary>

Yes. You can incorporate client or company logos, preferred colour palettes, and reference imagery into the render generation process. This means visuals feel bespoke rather than generic, which is particularly valuable for landlord marketing materials, broker pitch decks, and operator website imagery.
