AI Renders Overview

What is AI Renders?

AI Renders is a premium feature that transforms your laiout floor plans into photorealistic visualisations. Accessible from within the 3D viewer, AI Renders generates static images and animated visualisations in seconds to minutes, directly within the platform. You can choose from ten predefined interior styles, write your own custom prompt, upload a reference image to guide the aesthetic, or upload a photo of the actual view from the building to create realistic window scenes. The output is comparable to low-to-mid-tier 3D visualisation agency work, produced instantly and at a fraction of the cost.

Is AI Renders included in my subscription?

AI Renders is available as a premium add-on. Contact the laiout team or speak with your account manager to learn more about pricing and access.

What is the quality level of AI Renders output?

AI Renders produces photorealistic output comparable to low-to-mid-tier 3D visualisation agency work. It is designed for decision-support visualisation such as stakeholder presentations, leasing materials, early-stage design exploration, and marketing assets. It is not intended to replace final construction documentation or high-end architectural photography. Think of it as the visual equivalent of what laiout does for test-fits: a credible, professional-grade starting point produced in seconds rather than weeks.

How long does a render take to generate?

Renders are typically generated in seconds to minutes, depending on the complexity of the layout and the style applied. This compares to the traditional process of briefing an external visualisation agency, which typically takes days to weeks per image.

Can I download or share renders?

Yes. Generated renders can be downloaded as image files and used in presentations, marketing materials, client packs, and digital listings. They can also be included in PDF exports and Shared Links, giving stakeholders a photorealistic view alongside the floor plan and data.

Can I create videos as well as still renders?

Yes. Alongside static renders, you can now turn your AI Renders into short videos. Create a camera, generate a render you are happy with, then switch from Image to Video in the AI Render panel and choose a duration, aspect ratio and resolution. Video renders take a few minutes to generate and are a brand new feature that we will continue to develop over the coming months. See Generating AI Videos for the full workflow.

Can I include AI Renders in my PDF exports?

Yes. Within the PDF export view, an "AI" button on each page lets you add AI Renders to that specific page. A pop-up then appears so you can select which renders to include. You have full control over which renders appear and how they are arranged across your PDF pages, allowing you to design the document the way you want it to be presented.

Can I include AI Renders in my Shared Links?

Yes. When creating or editing a Shared Link, a toggle lets you include AI Renders. This is on by default when renders exist for the layout, and you can choose which specific renders are visible to external viewers. Recipients see the renders in a dedicated gallery alongside the floor plan and statistics.
